Quality Policy Statement.

Specialist steels was established in March 1986, as a stockist and supplier of specialist steels to a variety of manufacturing and machining customers. As a company which is totally committed to high levels of service and customer care, we offer a competetive pricing structure for a wide range of market leading branded products. Close monitoring of short-term market trends enables the company to maximise its innovative character by supplying new products for the future.
The success of any company depends upon the quality of the products it supplies, and the way in which it satisfies all of its customers requirements. Specialist Steels is fully committed to company-wide continuous improvement, and maintenance of an effective and efficient Quality System, to help create and maintain an environment of continuous improvement throughout the company. Acheivement of objectives is regularly monitored and reviewed by management.
To meet this need, the company, with Lloyds register, has implemented and operates a documented Quality Management System which conforms to the requirements of BS EN ISO9002 (1994), with the objective of ensuring that the company's customers are supplied with material that meets their specified requirements in full and to a maintained quality standard.
All employees contribute to the maintenance of steel product quality stocked in the company, and are positively encouraged by senior management to create an environment of continuous improvement. The Quality policy is declared to all employees by notice, and is brought to the attention of all new starters during the company induction programme.
The requirements of the Company Quality Manual and the associated operating procedures are mandatory to all staff as part of the training programme, and no major ammendments can be incorporated without the authorisation of the General Manager, or nominated deputy.
